The “Bringing The Arts to the Youth of Miami-Dade County – Symposium” project will gather the best-in-their-field educators, performers and researchers in music and the arts to conduct a symposium for the purpose of gaining knowledge on how to strengthen our community by building arts programs for young people. WECIAS sincerely seeks to understand and address the pressure of personal and social negative situations our youth find themselves facing including gangs, cultural differences, family issues and low self-esteem by providing more positive choices. The symposium will allow us to learn new ways to accomplish these goals and generate ideas on how to improve on current methods and programs. Another very important aspect of the symposium will be to add to our network of a growing group of individuals and organizations who believe in our mission.
